Our editorial team operates independently from our commercial team. Here are the rules that govern every piece of content published on Toolvoro.com.
Affiliate relationships
Toolvoro participates in affiliate programmes. We earn a commission when you purchase a tool through a link on our site. This is how we fund our operations and pay our reviewers.
Every affiliate relationship is disclosed prominently — in the disclosure bar at the top of every page, and in our full Affiliate Disclosure. The presence of an affiliate link never influences our editorial assessment of a tool.
We review tools we don't have affiliate deals with. We give low scores to tools we do earn from. The commission rate has zero correlation with the score.
What partners can and cannot do
- Submit factual corrections with supporting evidence
- Alert us to major product updates that may warrant an evidence update
- Purchase sponsored content slots (clearly labeled)
- Request score or ranking changes
- Influence which tools are recommended in editorial content
- Remove or soften negative findings from reviews
Content standards
Reviews — must follow the 15-factor evaluation framework, pricing gate, and evidence requirements. Scores are calculated by formula, not editorial judgment.
Comparisons — must compare tools against clear buyer criteria and state a winner for a specific use case. Hedged "it depends" conclusions are not acceptable.
Best-Of Guides — tools are ranked by editorial score, not affiliate value. A tool without an affiliate relationship can appear at #1. A tool with a high commission can appear at #5.
Corrections policy — factual errors are corrected promptly and noted at the top of the affected article. Score corrections require updated evidence. We do not silently edit published content.
Moderation of user submissions
User-submitted reviews and tutorials are moderated before publication. We reject submissions that are promotional, AI-generated, or attack vendors without evidence. Approved content reflects real user experiences.
We do not pay for reviews. We do not accept reviews from people with a commercial interest in a tool (vendors, investors, agency partners).
