Our scoring system is
fully transparent.
Toolvoro uses one evidence-gated scorecard framework. A public score appears only when the required evidence is complete enough to support it.
Scoring weights
Each verified factor is scored only when supporting evidence exists. Missing evidence leaves the factor unscored instead of guessed.
Evidence limits and modifiers
The scorecard does not invent penalties or rewards. If evidence is missing, stale, or ambiguous, the score is withheld until the record is corrected. Downward modifiers are applied only when current evidence supports a specific buyer risk:
Renewal rates significantly higher than promotional prices, hidden fees, or feature limits not disclosed on pricing page.
Patterns of unresolved support complaints, widespread billing disputes, or significant community trust issues.
No meaningful product updates in 12+ months. Tools that aren't investing in their product are penalised.
What can't change a score
These things will never influence a Toolvoro score, regardless of commercial relationships:
- Affiliate commission rates — we review tools we don't earn from, and rate tools we do earn from honestly
- Vendor requests for score revisions — we only update public scores when the approved evidence record changes
- Advertising or sponsored content — sponsored articles are clearly labeled and don't affect rankings
- Editorial preference or bias — every score must be justified by the framework
